Launching India’s Largest Long-Duration Energy Storage Manufacturing Facility | VFlowTech

June 26, 2024

We are proud to announce the launch of the largest long-duration energy storage manufacturing facility at Palwal, Haryana – during the India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2024!

VFlowTech is dedicated to advancing India’s renewable energy goals, which has led to the establishment of a state-of-the-art 100MWh manufacturing facility in Palwal. This new facility focuses on producing VFlowTech’s advanced kWh and MWh vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFB) and represents a significant milestone in the company’s expansion strategy. The current 40,000-square-foot facility is equipped with specialized assembly machinery, including automated cell stack lines, and is strategically located near the Hind Terminal to expedite assembly processes and streamline the supply chain. The high-tech facility has a current annual capacity of 100 MWh with plans to scale up to a Gigafactory in the next two years with committed investments from the parent Singapore company.

By bringing manufacturing capabilities in-house, we aim to lower production costs, enhance quality control, and reduce the overall cost of our VRFBs – while continuing to deliver industry-leading performance.

VFlowTech’s batteries are 100% recyclable, non-flammable, and have a levelized cost of energy of less than 8 cents per kWh. With wide applications across EV infrastructure, data centers, residential energy, and more, our technology is designed to accelerate India’s clean energy future.

This facility is not just a milestone for us – it’s a commitment to supporting a self-reliant, sustainable, and electrified India, and beyond.
