Role Responsibilities:	As a Customer Support/System Engineer at VFlowTech (VFT), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and resolution of issues related to Advanced Energy Storage Systems and Microgrids based on Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRFB) and Lithium-ion Battery (LFP type). Your responsibilities include: Issue Assessment and Resolution: Receive and respond to customer queries and issues related to deployed systems promptly. Assess reported issues and determine whether they can be resolved independently or require escalation to the relevant technical teams. Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Independently troubleshoot and resolve straightforward issues, providing step-by-step guidance to customers when applicable. Collaborate closely with customers to understand their concerns and provide timely and effective solutions. Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate technical teams for in-depth investigation and resolution. IoT Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor IoT data streams to proactively identify potential system issues or anomalies. Analyze data to assess the operational status of the battery systems and identify trends that may indicate emerging issues. Collaborate with the development team to enhance IoT monitoring capabilities for continuous improvement. Customer Communication: Maintain clear and concise communication with customers regarding issue resolution timelines and updates. Provide proactive updates on system status and any potential upcoming maintenance requirements. Document and communicate recurring issues to contribute to the improvement of product reliability. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with hardware and software development teams to understand the technical aspects of the systems and contribute to issue resolution.
Requirements:	Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 0-3 years of professional experience, Basic proficiency in using software tools for data analysis and visualization. Should be self-starters and be able to work with minimal supervision. Willingness to learn new technologies Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data and trends to identify potential issues. Basic Programming skills (C/C++/Python) Familiarity with graphing tools and the ability to visually represent and interpret data. Proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve straightforward issues. For developing Battery Management Systems (BMS): · Define BMS functions, Design hardware architecture, schematics, PCB layout, Select suitable component, device and equipment. · Develop and implement BMS firmware with core algorithms (charging, discharging, SOC/SOH calculations and balancing, etc.). · Develop and debug BMS firmware and perform on-site debugging of energy storage systems. For developing Energy Management Systems (EMS): · Define EMS functional requirements, design overall solutions, and formulate software architecture. · Design system communication, SCADA, power quality regulation, energy metering, and other topological structures. · Develop and implement EMS software system and module testing and conduct overall software integration for energy storage systems. · Build BMS and EMS testing platforms for functional, performance, and reliability testing. · Responsible for researching industry-related products, standards, and technological trends in BMS/EMS, and continuously provide suggestions and improvements for the company’s BMS/EMS technology roadmap. Role Responsibilities:	· Develop and conduct research in development of high-power density vanadium redox flow battery stack by designing flow fields, manifolds, material treatment etc…. · Design, model, simulate, test, and characterize vanadium redox flow battery stacks of various sizes. · Perform material and electrochemical characterization (both in-situ and ex-situ techniques such as cell cycling, CV, EIS, segmented cell, polarization tests, pH tracing, spectroscopy, XRD, through plane/ in plane resistivity, etc.) to reduce the stack resistivity and improve the capability to operate at high current density. · Project management including project planning, progress tracking, manage resources, and work together with interns, research staffs and international collaborators. · Develop IPs and Publish in high quality journals.
Requirements:	The work requires an in-depth understanding of electrochemistry of flow batteries, simulation/modelling skills, material fabrication, material characterization tools, and engineering integration of various components of vanadium redox flow battery stacks. The candidate should be able to work on dynamic, product-oriented group and manage the multiple tasks independently. Passion for research and multitasking abilities makes you the head of research group at VFlowTech with additional benefits. · Bachelor Degree minimally from university in disciplines like electrochemistry, chemical engineering, material science or mechanical engineering, etc. · In-depth knowledge of battery technology, with research experience in vanadium redox flow battery. · Experience with carbon electrodes and material fabrication for flow batteries · Experience with physical characterization, chemical characterization, and electrochemical characterization tools (e.g. cell cycling, polarization test, static cell test, segmented cell test, pH tracing, XPS, XRD, FTIR, resistance test, etc.) · A self-driven person with multi-tasking capability, team player and capable to form a good working environment. · Skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation (Ansys Fluent) will be good.

Testing includes, dry testing, electrolyte filling, pre-charging, power flow test, software test, IOT data test, etc. · Checking of the complete power and control circuit wiring before system turn on and correct if required. · Support in various circuit testing and standalone test bench development and testing · Travel during commissioning and support customer in the SAT (Site acceptance test). · Handle customer enquiry and support whenever needed and prepare reports. · Necessary training will be provided.
Requirements:	· Undergraduate or postgraduate with 3-to-5-year of working experience at the industrial environment. · Good knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus-RTU, CAN bus, etc. · Knowledge of microgrid and microgrid control, an advantage. · Excellent communication (in English) and problem-solving skills. · Should be self-starters and be able to work with minimal supervision. · Willingness to learn new things and adapt with the changes. · Dynamic person to work closely with SG and India team. · Active and physically fit.

Among his groundbreaking achievements is the conceptualization and successful development of the Customer Service Automation Platform for Infosys, implemented for multiple clients.
With a strong educational foundation, holding a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecom from COEP Pune and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from IGNOU, Nitin Mahajan’s enduring impact on the industry underscores his global perspective, strategic insights, and unwavering client-centric approach that continue to shape the ever-evolving IT landscape.

Robin is Indonesia Country Director for EDPR APAC. Robin graduated from the Singapore Management University (SMU) with double majors in marketing and law. Daniel Layug, CFA, is a member of the Climate Strategy & Business Development team of the International Finance Corporation. In his role at the IFC, he provides financial and strategic analysis to support the IFC’s industry specialists in Energy Storage, Electric Vehicles, Waste Management, Circular Economy, Hydrogen, Green Buildings, Offshore Wind, Distributed Generation, and Carbon markets.

Prior to joining the IFC, Dan was founder and CEO of start-up PeoplePods. The start-up won 1st place and $100k at Kellogg RE Venture Competition held in Chicago and 1st place and €40k at the INSEAD Venture Competition held in Singapore and France. Prior to this, he worked at ING Bank’s Mergers & Acquisitions team and Maybank ATR’s Equity Capital Markets teams.

Dan has an MBA from INSEAD and undergraduate degrees in Finance and Chinese Studies from Georgetown University. He is currently a member of the Georgetown Angel Investor Network.

Jen Wee has been invited as a Speaker at various forums including the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), the leading platform in Asia for energy stakeholders. Mikhail Nikomarov is an entrepreneur and African energy expert, who has worked on strategic and operational energy issues across four continents, including eight African countries. He is also the CEO of Bushveld Energy, a subsidiary of Bushveld Minerals Limited, a mining and mineral development company primarily focused on vanadium.
He holds an MBA from INSEAD (France), an Economics Diploma from the London School of Economics (UK) and two B.A. degrees in History and in Economics from the University of Massachusetts (USA).
Prior to founding Bushveld Energy, Mikhail spent 6½ years with McKinsey & Company in Moscow and Johannesburg, advising national governments, utilities and manufacturers on growth strategy and policy, and leading operational turnarounds in the power sector.

Dr. Ramprakash Kathiresan serves as the Co-Director of the Smart Grid & Power Electronics consortium. He pursued his Doctorate in Power Electronics & Master of Science in Micro-electronics from the National University of Singapore and received his Master of Business Administration specializing on Product development management from the Cardiff school of management. He is a cleantech-generalist having served in the key research establishments, start-up environments & industry projects. He focuses on productization & commercialization of deep-tech front-end Innovation in the Climatech domain, thereby reducing-to-practice innovation & scaling for markets with techno-commercial outfits.

Dr. Avishek is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of VFlowTech Pte Ltd. VFlowTech is a Singaporean spin-off company founded on ten years of study into the challenges of flow batteries and the creation of new uses for advanced energy storage systems. Avishek has a PhD in electrical and computer engineering from National University of Singapore and a Master of Science in microelectronics from Technical University of Munich, Germany. Dr. Avishek was one of the main developers of the high efficiency half cut PERC Mono solar modules that allowed solar PV modules to be 30% less expensive. The ESS are tested in both grid-tied and off-grid mode and various parameters such as round-trip efficiency, discharge energy, various battery component performance, BMS and EMS burn test, external controller test, etc. to be performed. · Develop an EV charger facility at the factory running on battery and solar, to test long term reliability test of batteries in off-grid and grid tied system. · Perform incoming QC check for all the electrical and power components, for which develop various test benches as required. · Support during the production process, as required. · Test DCDC converters, various inverters and develop project based energy management system and controller. · 24×7 data monitoring of the ESS installed globally and generate reports in regular basis. · Grow a team to support above mentioned activities.

PhD Sponsorship under Industrial Postgraduate Program (IPP):	The Industrial Postgraduate Programme (IPP) is an initiative by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and Enterprise Singapore (ESG) to build a pool of postgraduate manpower in Singapore with critical R&D skillsets through training in a corporate R&D environment and local universities. At the end of the training, graduates will take on R&D roles in the industry. Requirements for Students: · Admitted IPP trainee must be full-time employees of VFlowTech (VFT) while pursuing full-time research programmes at NTU (monthly stipend & CPF will be paid) · Trainee is expected to spend at least 50% of the research project activity within the company’s facility. · Trainee will undertake an approved jointly-identified research project (description below), and be supervised by an academic faculty from NTU and a company staff with appropriate research qualifications. VFT has commercialised the batteries for residential and small industrial applciaiton and currently working in developing large scale flow batteries (in MWh’s) to use for large industrial application. This project aims to study the multi parameters in the large scale flow battery development and address the R&D challenges to improve the technology and ensure higher efficiency and long life. Project Topic: Improving the flow battery performance by reducing the various losses in development of multi kW to MW flow batteries. Description of the project: Flow battery uses battery stack modules (5 kW range for VFT), which are connected in series for power scale up. The number of stacks connected in series in one string can vary from 4 to 12. However, due to having electrolyte supplied from the single tank, shunt current impacts heavily reducing the system efficiency and reducing the stack life. There are various approaches used in the industry to minimize the problem but there is no as such preferred solution and the methods are not easily available. Therefore this project will focus on modelling the shunt current leakage in flow batteries and developing methods for reducing or eliminating the shut leakage. In this multi year research the candidate will develop several shunt models and experimentally estimate the losses. Ultimately, few solutions to be developed and implemented in our large products (100 kW -500 kWh system). Apart from this, the research project will focus on designing large tanks (ensuring uniform flow distribution, maximum utilization, eliminating plug flow, etc.), pipings (maximizing the flow distribution, avoid stagnant flow, material research, etc.) together with pumps (horizontal pump, vertical pumps integrated with variable frequency drives), heat exchanger (suited for various weather conditions) keeping the system modular and scalable. While designing and development, the researcher will also be focusing on improving the safety aspect of the flow battery against leak, hydrogen safety, etc. The proposed IPP project will exactly fit to the described project as the problem statement are purely R&D domain and it needs extensive research and developmental work before VFT can successfully commercialise the large batteries in Singapore and globally.

Develop and conduct research in development of high-power density vanadium redox flow battery stack.
Design, model, simulate, test, and characterize vanadium redox flow battery stacks of various sizes.
Perform material and electrochemical characterization (both in-situ and ex-situ techniques such as cell cycling, CV, EIS, segmented cell, polarization tests, pH tracing, spectroscopy, XRD, through plane/ in plane resistivity, etc.) to reduce the stack resistivity and improve the capability to operate at high current density.
Project management including project planning, progress tracking, manage resources, and work together with interns, research staffs and international collaborators.

The project requires an in-depth understanding of electrochemistry, simulation/modelling skills, material fabrication, material characterization tools, and engineering integration of various components of vanadium redox flow battery stacks.
